Your own biology, working harder.
PRF concentrates the growth factors in your own blood and releases them slowly over time, delivered to thinning areas by microneedling and superficial scalp injections. It is our most requested treatment.
In the studio
Platelet rich fibrin, from your own blood.
PRF stands for platelet rich fibrin. Like PRP, it starts with a small draw of your own blood. The difference is in the preparation: PRF is spun at a lower speed with no anticoagulant, so it forms a natural fibrin scaffold.
That scaffold matters. Instead of releasing growth factors in one burst, it holds them at the follicle and releases them gradually over days, a longer window of signalling to the follicles we are trying to wake up.
Wondering how this compares to PRP or exosomes? See the side by side comparison.
What 45 minutes actually looks like.
You lie down for the whole treatment. The downlights are off, the lamps and LED lighting are low, and nothing is rushed. Here is the full sequence, nothing hidden.
- 01 · Arrive
Check in and review
Come hydrated, with a clean, product free scalp. We confirm your history and check for anything that has changed since your consultation.
- 02 · Draw
A small blood draw
Two tubes, around 20ml, taken from your arm. If needles are not your favourite thing, this is the quickest part.
- 03 · Spin
Four minutes in the centrifuge
Your blood is spun in a T-Lab centrifuge, separating the platelet and growth factor rich fibrin from the rest. No additives go into the tube.
- 04 · Prep
Scalp preparation
The treatment area is cleansed with chlorhexidine antiseptic so we are working on a clean field.
- 05 · Needle
Microneedling with topical PRF
Fine microneedling over the treatment zones with PRF applied on top, creating thousands of microchannels that carry it toward the follicles. Most clients find this part very tolerable.
- 06 · Inject
Superficial scalp injections
Precise, shallow injections placed at the depth where your follicles live. This is the part that does the heavy lifting, and the part we support with comfort tools.
- 07 · Massage
Finishing scalp massage
A scalp massage to ease any lingering discomfort, support absorption and encourage blood flow to the treated area. Then you are done, and back to your day.
No numbing cream. On purpose.
We do not apply numbing cream or anaesthetic injections, and that is a considered clinical decision, not a shortcut. There is evidence that local anaesthetics can interfere with platelet function and growth factor release, so keeping your treatment free of them protects the integrity of what your own blood is providing. It also keeps the treatment field clean and precise.
Here is the honest picture: the microneedling is very tolerable for most people, and the injections are brief moments of sharpness rather than sustained pain. Instead of numbing, we manage comfort properly.

Your progress, on the record.
Your journey starts with AI scalp analysis at consultation, follicle level imaging that grades your density, hairs per follicle, thickness and volume, and gives us your baseline.
At your first treatment we take structured photographs of your hairline, crown and sides from set angles. At your sixth session, we repeat the same photographs and put them side by side with your baseline, so the change is visible on the record, not judged in the bathroom mirror.
